Oh... that turned out so neat. I love it and wish I could write w/my machine. I will have to sit and try that some day. Maybe when we are together sometimes you can show me! It's a beautiful peice of art!!
Thanks, Lollie. It is fun to play around with. Sandwich a few scraps together and go for it. Try pieces about 10" square to get the hang of it: bottom fabric, batting in the middle, and a scrap for the top. Then all you do is lower the feed dogs on your machine- those are the little grooved feet in the throat plate that move the fabric along as you sew- and get stitching! I'd love to see what you come up with. I always do a scrap to try out what I want to say and how I want to say it before I use the real piece I want to sew. You can try sketching out what you want and sewing over it too.
